Haguro Area | Ryokan / Hotels
Here is the guide to ryokan inns in the Haguro Area.
Hagurokan
A ryokan inn located in the Toge village, at the foot of Mt. Haguro. Formerly, Haguro-kan ran a lodge called Goshimizugoya located at the 7th station of Mt. Gassan. The interior of the inn allows you to feel its history, with handwritten letters of Kagami Shiko, one of Matsuo Basho’s pupils, which are displayed modestly.

Tamonkan
A ryokan inn located in the Toge village, at the foot of Mt. Haguro. Tamon-kan was originally run as a shukubo inn. The grandfather of the current owner converted the then shukubo into a ryokan to make it available for a wider range of visitors. Their hospitality remains the same as before, heartily welcoming visitors to the Three Mountains of Dewa.
