Ideha Bunka Museum, located near the entrance to the pilgrimage route to Mt. Haguro, is the sole official museum dedicated to showcasing the history and the culture of the Three Mountains of Dewa, as well as to research on Shugendo.
Some of the recommended tourist spots are located within walking distance of the museum, including the Zuishin Gate, as well as the five-storied pagoda of Mt. Haguro, about a 5 to 15-minute walk on the stone stairway.

Mt. Haguro has a history of over 1400 years as a mountain for Shugendo. Known also as a place with spiritual power, the mountain attracts many tourists every year.

The facility showcases and explains the natural scenery, the landscapes, the characteristic climate, and biology of the fauna and flora of the Three Mountains of Dewa, providing visitors opportunities to interact with nature.
After learning in the visitor center, step outside and enjoy interactions with nature variable from season to season. You will be assured to find what nature really looks like, something different from what you are used to seeing.

Midagahara Marsh embraces a variety of alpine plants to see.
You can enjoy natural trekking on the well-organized boardwalks through the wetland with gentle ups and downs, around which it takes about 60 minutes to walk.
